Drapery Hardware

When choosing custom drapery for your home, choosing drapery hardware that is going to not only look beautiful but function smoothly and properly is very important. Your drapery should glide smoothly and you shouldn’t have to worry about a finish rubbing off of your hardware onto your drapery. Unfortunately, without quality drapery hardware like ours, both can happen.

There are many options available when choosing drapery hardware. The current trend is French Return rods. Not only is it a clean, non-bulky, tailored look but it also helps with the stack back of your drapery because of the bend back towards the wall. This allows your drapery to rest off of your windows as much as possible allowing more light and more of your view.

Other drapery hardware options include rods with a wide variety of finials to choose from, Estate rods, Traverse rods, Architract rods and Motorized rods. If you choose a rod with finials it will affect your drapery stack back causing you to have more of your drapery covering your window. Estate rods are a heavier, more traditional look. Traverse rods are cord drawn versus traditional wand drawn. They are less durable and are prone to problems. Architract rods are all aluminum and powder coated making them more durable and smoother to operate. They are typically used for commercial or condo/rental property applications because of their durability and affordability. Finally, there are Motorized rods. Motorized rods are the ultimate innovation in automated window treatments. They are operated by remote with very quiet motors and can even be programmed to open and close at different times of the day. There are a variety of styles to choose from that will coordinate with any style or decor.
